What is Citing Sources

When a person does research on a topic, they can use a variety of resources such as books, newspapers or websites to look for information.  Citing Sources means that in your finished research paper or product, you will acknowledge the works and information that you used from other people in your work.

When should you cite your sources?

When you create a research paper for an English class.

When you take pictures from the Internet

When you use more than 3 words from a person's writing.  These words taken should be in quotes.
