What is Netiquette?

Netiquette is the act of being polite and courteous when sending email
and when using different functions on the Internet like chatting,

What are some examples of email Netiquette?

Don't open email from someone you don't know, or if the subject line
sounds weird.

Never type in all caps.  This is considered shouting at someone.

Keep messages short

Always fill in the subject line

Don't attach large files.  Use Winzip to make the files smaller.

Always include your name at the end of your message

Always check your message for spelling errors

Don't flame - sending an ugly message

If you are sending a message to many people, use the BCC line
to add the email addresses of the extra people.  It is frustrating
to receive a message that includes half a page of recipients.

Delete your email daily

Don't respond to mean or ugly email

Check the address of the email recipient before clicking on send
