Getting Started
-----------------------------------------
To access the Texas School Directory information from the CD-ROM 
requires browser software.  We suggest either Netscape Navigator 
v.3.0 or above or MS Internet Explorer v.4.0 or above. (Other 
browsers will work, but we haven't tested them.)  If you need 
this software, it's available free of charge from the Netscape and
Microsoft web sites. See the "Obtaining FREE Software" instructions 
below.

To view and print portions of the Texas School Directory requires 
the Adobe Acrobat Reader.  If you need this software, it's available 
free of charge.  NOTE:  Install Web browser software BEFORE installing
 Adobe Acrobat Reader if you need to install both software programs.

If you already have a browser and Acrobat Reader installed, use your 
web browser (Netscape or Internet Explorer) to open the home.htm file 
on your CD-ROM drive. For example, 'D:\home.htm'.

Click the Main Menu link to view the 2003-2004 Texas School Directory 
Main Menu.  Click the Help link to view more information about the 
Texas School Directory CD-ROM.

School Directory.


Supported Platforms

This data should be accessible from any computer system that is able to 
run a Web Browser and the Adobe Acrobat Reader. This includes Linux, MAC, 
Win31, Win95, Win98, WinNT and most versions of UNIX.


Required Software
-----------------------------------------
You will need a web browser for the HTML and the Acrobat
Reader for PDF. The content has been tested with browsers
from Netscape (3.X/4.X) and Microsoft (IE 4.X). You will
also need the Adobe Acrobat Reader (3.1 with Search).

You can download the Netscape Navigator web browser
