To replace the photo above with one
of your choice, click the photo and it should appear with black squares on
the corners and in between, once it is highlighted with those squares, hit
the delete key. This should leave
you with a blinking cursor. On the
menu bar, now go to Insert>Picture>From File then browse for the file
you want to enter from your disk or drive.
If the photo is too big or too small, again highlighting the photo
by left clicking on it and then “pulling” the corners together or apart can
resize it. After you have finished
you can also delete this text or replace it with a caption. The photo will be converted and will
appear in a folder called /index_files in your root directory.
You will need parent permission when
posting student pictures. Also,
do not include whole student name,
just use first name or first initial and last name.

Highlighting the text and replacing
it with your own title can change the links above. You will want to use a name that will
clearly identify the link to which one will be taken. Once you have typed in your name, say
for example Google, the text will appear black. This is because it is just plain text, however highlighting
the text and right clicking on it will bring up a floating menu bar. Once this menu bar is open, go to the
bottom to where it reads, Hyperlink>Edit Hyperlink. There will be two fields above, the
first one will show the Text to be displayed explaining where the link will
lead to, the second one is to the website link. In this field enter the website, for the Google example, the
first box should display Google and the second box you should enter
http://www.google.com
The text on you links section should then turn maroon. This means your changes were a
success.
You can also create links to
PowerPoint presentation, Word Documents, etc. Just make sure that you copy them to your folder first, then
create a link.
